Louis Kamper

Louis Kamper was an American architect. Kamper was born in 1861 and died in 1953. He designed, amongst other things, Book Tower, Book Cadillac Hotel, Col. Frank J. Hecker House, and the Water Board Building. His residential architecural designs included the Italian Renaissance styled Murray Sales House (1917) at 251 Lincoln in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Louis Kamper styled the four sculptures above the Michigan Avenue entrance to the Book-Cadillac Hotel which are from left to right: Anthony Wayne, Antoine Cadillac, Chief Pontiac, and Robert Navarre.Lloyd, Marshal Davies (August 20, 2006).
