- Jon Ridgeon
Jonathan ("Jon") Ridgeon (born
February 14 ,1967 ) is a former British athlete who was educated atMagdalene College, Cambridge . He is the current managing director of Fast Track, a company that organises athletics events. As well as working with Fast Track Ridgeon has also been a TV commentator for theBBC andBSkyB since retiring as an athlete.Ridgeon competed in the
110m hurdles , winning the European junior championship in 1985, ahead of runner upColin Jackson . He finished second to Jackson in the 1986 World junior championship and secured a silver medal in the event at the 1987 World Athletics Championships, with Jackson third. Ridgeon and Jackson's rivalry was comparatively short-lived, as the former started to develop injuries that led to his career being cut short. Ridgeon switched to the400m hurdles before his retirement.Personal bests
