Glyn Pardoe

Glyn Pardoe was an English footballer who played for Manchester City between 1961 and 1974. He played in the left back position and became the clubs youngest ever player when he made his debut in April 1962 against Birmingham City in a League Cup game. He also won 4 England under 23 caps. In total he played for the blue team 304 times scoring 17 goals. His career was cut short when he broke his leg in a tackle with George Best in a Manchester derby.

Pardoe is the cousin of his former team-mate Alan Oakes, with several other relations having played professionally.
