Alexandrova (born 2003) is a thoroughbred bay filly, the daughter of Sadler's Wells out the dam Shouk. She is the granddaughter of Northern Dancer, her damsire is Shirley Heights.

Alexandrova was bred in Ireland by Quay Bloodstock and was purchased at the October 2004 Tattersalls yearling sale. Owned by John Magnier, Michael Tabor, and Derek Smith, and trained by Aidan O'Brien, in 2006 Alexandrova became the first horse in seven years to win the Epsom Oaks, Irish Oaks and the Yorkshire Oaks. Ridden by jockey Michael Kinane, in the 1 1/2 mile Yorkshire Oaks, for the first time she raced against older fillies and mares but still won by 3 1/2 lengths.

O'Brien also revealed that last year's English (Eng-G1), Irish (Ire-G1) and Yorkshire Oaks (Eng-G1) winner ALEXANDROVA (Sadler's Wells) could be retired following a recent setback which ruled her out of a repeat bid in the Yorkshire Oaks.

"It is unlikely that she will run again," he told Racing Post. "She still isn't right after the setback. She had two days before she was due to run in the Yorkshire Oaks and, because of all she achieved last year, we were never going to risk running her unless she was 100 percent."

The four-year-old filly, who has been suffering from tightness in her hind end, has not been out since finishing third in the Prix de l'Opera at Longchamp last October. Overall, she has compiled a record of 9-4-2-2 and earnings of £652,264.
