Skiland

Skiland is a ski and snowboard area 20 miles north of Fairbanks, Alaska. The ski slopes are north facing so it is commonly possible to ski into April there. The mountain is serviced by a 3300-foot long double chairlift that rises 1057 feet. The chairlift was acquired from Silver Star resort in British Columbia. The chairlift is the farthest north chairlift in North America.

Skiland's season usually starts in November and runs till April. The area is open weekends only. The slopes are patrolled by the National Ski Patrol.
