Blair McCreadie

Blair McCreadie is the past president of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario. He was unopposed in his bid for the position, and was consequently acclaimed for a two year term on October 27 2002 at the party's convention of that year.

At the 2005 bi-annual general meeting, held February 27-29 in Ottawa, he was acclaimed once again to the Presidency. He was preceded in the position by Dr. Rueben Devlin.

Blair McCreadie was first elected to the Ontario PC Party Executive in 1996. He chaired the Ontario PCParty’s Training and Development and Municipal Outreach Committees between 1996-2002, wasCo-editor of the 1999 Riding Campaign Manual, twice organized the Ontario PC Party'sMunicipal Campaign College and was appointed by the Ontario PC Party Executive to Co-Chair the 2004Leadership Election. Professionally, McCreadie is a lawyer, called to the Ontario Bar in 2001. He currently is a senior associate in the Employment & Labour Group and the Public Policy Practice Group of the Toronto office of Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP. He has contributed articles to the Canadian Employment and Equity Rights newsletter, as well as "Workplace News" and "Canadian Corporate Counsel," and has been a Co-Instructor at the University of Guelph, Office of Open Learning, for courses on occupational health and safety law, negotiations and contract administration. He also co-authored a book for human resources professionals on occupational health and safety. He received an LL.B. from Queen’s University in 1999 and a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics and Political Science from the University of Toronto in 1997.
