Russell Metty, A.S.C. (September 20, 1906April 28, 1978) was an American cinematographer, who worked on many films during the forties, fifties and sixties. [imdb name|id=0005797|name=Russell Metty.]

Metty won an Academy Award for "Spartacus" (1960).

Career

Metty Started circa 1925 as an assistant with Standard Film Laboratory, then was hired by Paramount Pictures working in the camera deptartment. He left for RKO in 1929.
