Allmusic 2.5/5 stars[1]

The album peaked at eighty-two on the U.S. Billboard 200 and reached the twenty-fourth spot on the R&B Albums chart.[2] The album was certified gold in November of 1997.[3]

Stephen Thomas Erlewine of Allmusic gave the work a mixed review, remarking that it "has a couple of fine moments," but that the groups "fusion of street-oriented rap and urban soul doesn't quite gel over the course of the album."[1]
