A list of theatres in San Francisco, California:

*Bayview Opera House - in Hunters Point. Founded in 1889 as part of a Masonic Temple, it declined in relevance following the 1906 earthquake. Performing arts productions at this venue were revived in the 1960s. Officially named "Bayview Opera House Ruth Williams Memorial Theater".
*Curran Theatre - Off Union Square. Built in 1922. Now is a venue for touring Broadway productions.
*Davies Symphony Hall - main|Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall
*Golden Gate Theatre - In Tenderloin, built in 1922. Once housed vaudeville acts. Hosts Broadway blockbusters.
*Herbst Theatre - main|Herbst Theatre
*Orpheum Theatre - In Tenderloin, built in 1926. Spanish imperial architecture. SF Historical Landmak. Hosts Broadway shows.
*Plush Room - Intimate theatre located in the historic York Hotel.
