Alex Kramer (presenter)

Alex Kramer (born 29 March 1978 in London) is a British television presenter best known for hosting ITV Play Gameshows "Make Your Play" and "Glitterball". Her lively and irrelevant chatty style marks her as one of the popular Gameshow presenters.

Biography

She is half Portuguese and her full name is Alexandra Kramer Paula Da Silva. She graduated in 2000 with a B.A. (Hons) in journalism. She has eleven GCSEs including several A grades, three A-levels. She has worked at the BBC and Five, and as a Newsdesk Producer, Output Producer, Floor Manager, and Studio Camera Operator for ITN.

Her on-screen TV career began as a weather presenter for Five and a locations presenter for holiday channel Teletext Holidays. She also presented a dating show on Sky Active and presented on the Express Shopping channel. She has reported for the BBC's Liquid News and "The Edit" on Five. She has also worked for Top Shop TV, hosting nationwide events for them, as well as appearing on their big screens in store. Her Gameshow presenting credits are "The Great Big British Quiz" for a few months in 2005, then moved to Quiz Call, then owned by Channel 4, for thirteen months. She then made her mark with "Make Your Play" on ITV in September 2006 co-presenting with Ben Baldwin, which was also shown on the ITV Play channel. Next she co-hosted "Glitterball" on ITV, making her first appearance on the show on 18 April 2007, and helped end the show on 30 September 2007.

She is currently a presenter for Virgin's Challenge Jackpot with Roulette Nation. The show can be seen on Virgin 1 and Sky 121 in the early am.

She was a journalist-presenter for the 4 episodes of BBC Three's "The Bulls**t Detective" from 12 April to 3 May 2007. The show attempted to reveal the deceptive marketing of goods and services of questionable worth.

Alex is also the voice of ITV1 and new channel Alibi.

She is the presenter of the Microsoft Windows Vista in-store promotional video and was featured in the December 2006 edition of "Maxim" magazine as one of the Girls of 2007.
