Carl DePasqua

Carl DePasqua

Carl DePasqua (born Williamsport, Pennsylvania) was a NCAA football coach and NFL assistant coach. He started his head coaching career at tiny Waynesburg College south of Pittsburgh in 1966, winning the NCAA Division II National Championship with the Yellowjackets. In 1968 he served as an assistant coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers before serving as the head football coach for the University of Pittsburgh Panthers from 1969 to 1972. His Panther teams, although not bowl worthy, did turn in convincing wins against powerhouse teams such as West Virginia and Syracuse and posted a competitive season in 1970.
