"Kickin' It Old Skool" is an American comedy film directed by Harvey Glazer and written by Trace Slobotkin. The cast includes Jamie Kennedy, Bobby Lee, Maria Menounos, Michael Rosenbaum, and Vivica A. Fox. This movie was released on April 27, 2007 and grossed $2.49 million in its opening weekend. The movie is about a young breakdancer who hits his head during a talent show and slips into a coma for twenty years. Waking up in 2006 (without knowing everything has gone updated throughout the years during his coma), he looks to revive his and his team's career with the help of his girlfriend and his parents.

Plot

In 1986, 12-year-old Justin and his breakdancing group, The Funky Fresh Boyz, are ready for the 1986 annual talent show. Justin and the Funky Fresh Boyz start the contest, and when Justin prepares to do a dangerous and untested move, he flips off stage and falls into a coma.

Justin wakes up twenty years later, finding himself suddenly 32 years old, his parents bankrupt from overdue life support payments, and the girl he loves engaged to the same bully he was dancing against when he fell into his coma. Now, that same bully is hosting a dance contest broadcast on national television, and the grand prize is $100,000 . . . more than enough to repay his parents for the life support they paid for 20 years. So first when he comes home his father makes him do chores (that he had to do himself for twenty years) and he starts getting basic motor skills back. Then his mom takes him to the mall when he meets his old friend Darnel. He begins telling him about how the world has changed but, when interrupted by his family. At the mall Justine meets his old sweetheart Jennifer. She is engaged to Kip his old nemesis. They invite him to a party later after humilating himself on the dance floor. At Darrnel's house Justine tells him about the competition and Darnell's wife makes him accept Justine's invitation. Afterwards they begin to find their old crew. First it's Hector, who is working as a ticket cop. Hector is now overweight and can't dance anymore, but is recruited anyway. At the party Justine humiliates himself once more at newage dancing. Next is Aki Terasaki who seems to have lost his accent and works in a office. After they convince him that break dancing helps him get girls he accepts. They soon begin relearning how to dance. As Justine starts to rekindle his love for Jennifer. Kip finds himself the best dance group around and hires them to win the competition. The crew begins to teach Justine about sex as he prepares to go on a date with Jennifer. The date goes well but Jen realizes she is engaged to Kip and leaves. The next day the crew goes to a gameing place where Jennifer tells Justine last night was a mistake. Angry Justine place DDR where the leader of the crew Kip hired challenges him to a dance off. Justine realizes how good the kid is and questions what he's doing. He pictures why he's doing it and throws up as it is his turn to dance. Then they go to a children's place to eat where Justine says the plan is stupid and retarted as the are grown men acting like 13 year olds. A mascot at where they are eating get offended as he said retarded and attacks him. Justine goes home and begins to get rid of things from his past and begins taking his Ritalin. At the competition the crew realizes Justine isn't coming and gets the homeless man Justine battled to join them as they need four members. The competition starts and the crew wins their first rounds with their new member. Jennifer breaks up with Kip as she finds out that he got Cole's crew (the crew Kip hired) leader to humiliate Justine. She then finds Justine and tells him she loves him and how his crew needs him. Justine arrives in time to dance in the competition. Justine clearly wins the competition by doing an improved version of the trick that got him in a coma (a front flip as he is about to fall). Kip can't realize this and challenges him to a dance off. But sucks and is booed by the crowd. His boss then comes and fires him, Kip says it's retarded and the mascot form earlier comes and knocks him out. The homeless man then falls on him and pees on him. The crew gets the check; Justine and Jennifer finally kiss as they get the check.During the credits it says Justine and Jenn save the house and she is teaching him how to use an ipod, Darrnel opened his own store, Hector never quit his job as a meter maid but works in Vegas (possibly as a drag queen), Aki got married to the Jewish Asian from earlier and now has a 3% chance of sleeping with her, Kip is now slightly retarded after being hit and is now a judge on "Dancing with the Stars", and David Hasselfof got arrested for pretending to be a lifeguard.
