Parasoft is a software company with its headquarters in Monrovia, CA that makes several software development tools that serve to help debug programs in C, C++, Java, .NET and the web.

The company was founded in 1987 by 5 graduates from Caltech in Pasadena, California, including Adam Kolawa, the current Chairman / CEO. [ " [http://www.socaltech.com/interview__adam_kolawa__parasoft/s-0000180.html Interview: Adam Kolawa, Parasoft] " in socaltech.com, February 9, 2004] These people had been working together on the Cosmic Cube, a parallel computer. In the early 1990s the company transitioned to more general purpose software development tools, specializing in tools for what the company calls AEP or Automated Error Prevention. The mid-1990s saw the inclusion of support for the Microsoft Windows platform; prior to that Parasoft supported only Unix systems.
