Ura Koyama

Ura Koyama (小山 ウラ "Koyama Ura", August 30, 1890 - April 5, 2005) of Iizuka became the oldest person in Japan upon the death of Mitoyo Kawate in November 2003.

In early December 2004, she became the world's fourth oldest validated person. Some months later, however, she died of pneumonia at age 114 years 218 days. With her death, Yone Minagawa became the oldest known living person in Japan and, in January 2007, Minagawa became the world's oldest person at age 114.
