Calvin Tower is a character in the "Dark Tower" books by Stephen King. Calvin Tower appears in "The Waste Lands", "Wolves of the Calla", "Song of Susannah", and "The Dark Tower".

Plot

Calvin Tower (born Calvin Toren) owned The Manhattan Restaurant of the Mind, a bookstore on 2nd and 53rd in New York City. This wasthe bookstore where Jake Chambers bought "Charlie the Choo-Choo" and "Riddle-De-Dum", which both helped the Ka-Tet during their confrontation with Blaine the Mono in "The Waste Lands" and "Wizard and Glass". The Toren family (Dutch for "Tower") were the original owners of the lot on 2nd and 46th in which the Rose grew. In 1977, a reluctant Tower sold the lot to the "Tet Corporation", represented by Roland Deschain and Eddie Dean. In 1981, Calvin and his (only) friend, Aaron Deepneau, saved Father Donald Callahan's life from the Hitler Brothers, who were hired by the low men to kill him. Calvin Tower died of a heart attack in 1990.
