Julius Joseph "Moose" Solters (born Julius Joseph Soltesz on March 22, 1906 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – September 28, 1975) was a major league outfielder between 1934 and 1943.

Career

After nine seasons in the American League and 3421 plate appearances, Solters retired with a .289 career batting average. Towards the end of his career his vision deteriorated and he eventually lost his sight due to diabetes complications.[citation needed] Solters is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
