Cold Springs Middle School The school opened for the 2006-2007 school year. Currently all 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in Cold Springs attend this school. The school is a part of the Washoe County School District
The word "CATS" is frequently used in the school with a dual meaning as both the school's mascot and as an acronym for "Courage, Attitude, Teamwork, Success," the school's core values. The school is the first middle school to have 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. The school's colors are burgundy, hunter green, and silver.The school is starting its 2nd year of being open in August 27th, 2007.
