FUN radio is the UK's only children's radio station. It's operated by Children's Radio UK Ltd which is owned by Folder Media. It broadcasts on DAB Digital Radio in London, on Virgin Media channel 926, on Sky Channel 0112 and online at www.funradiolive.com.

Background

FUN radio was created by GCap Media, Hit Entertainment and the children's radio campaigner Susan Stranks.It went on-air in May 2005 with team members Matt Deegan, Gregory Watson, John Hirst and Jenny Nelson from GCap Media, Vici Woolgar and Chris Skala from Hit Entertainment and advisors Susan Stranks and David Kingsley.

Changes to Platforms

As part of a number of changes made by GCap in January 2008, FUN radio was removed from a number of local multiplexes across the UK. It continues to broadcast online and on digital television as well as DAB in Greater London only.
