Josh Shipp

Josh Shipp (born 23 January in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) is an American motivational speaker and author focusing on youth and college-aged audiences. He is noted as being one of the youngest speakers ever accepted into the National Speakers Association. Starting in 2005, he was selected as a spokesperson for National Foster Care Month. On November 1, 2006 he launched HeyJosh.tv, a sort of "Dear Abby" video podcast for teens. His current projects include an advice column for CosmoGIRL! , a major book release, and a network television pilot. He made an exclusive appearance at the Rabobank Convention Center in Bakersfield, CA. In 2008, Josh made an appearance on TRL.

At the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Missouri, Shipp referenced Wikipedia in his speech. He joked to students that if they did not like him, they would go home and edit his Wikipedia article to read that he was an "eighty-five-year-old Japanese woman."

Films

Shipp latest project (announced May 28, 2008) is a series of short motivational films titled "Hey Josh", which are produced by the same creative team behind Rob Bell's NOOMA films and Marcus Buckingham's TROMBONE PLAYER WANTED. These films cover life skills topics for teenagers. The first one is titled FACTORY and covers 'discovering your future career.'
