Ajit, variously spelled Ajith or Ajeet is a common male Indian name derived from Sanskrit. The name means "invincible" or, literally, "he who has not been conquered", from the Sanskrit 'a' (not) and 'jita' (conquered). In Hindu mythology, it was a name for both Shiva and Vishnu.
