Volodymyr Morozov (1940 canoer)

Volodymyr Ivanovich Morozov ( _ru. Владимир Иванович Морозов) (Sometimes shown as Vladimir Morosov, born March 4, 1940 in Krasnovodsk, Turkmen SSRcite book|title=Panorama of the 1972 Sports Year|year=1973|pages=p. 98|publisher=Fizkultura i sport|location=Moscow|language=Russian] ) is a retired flatwater canoer from USSR. Morozov trained at Armed Forces sports society in Krasnovodsk and later in Kiev.cite book|title=All about Olympic Games.|author=Boris Khavin|publisher=Fizkultura i sport|edition = 2nd ed.|pages=p. 386|year=1979|location=Moscow|language=Russian]

Morozov began canoeing in 1957 and became a member of the USSR National Team in 1963. He won gold medals for the USSR at three consecutive Olympics between 1964 and 1972.

He also won three world championship gold medals in the K4 1000m (1970, 1971) and K4 10,000m (1966). Morozov was awarded two Orders of the Red Banner of Labour (1969, 1972).
