Edithvale railway station is an urban passenger station approximately km to mi|num=28|abbr=yes|precision=0 southeast from Melbourne (km to mi|num=30|abbr=yes|precision=0 from Flinders Street Station by rail), the state capital of Victoria, Australia. Located in the suburb of Edithvale on the Frankston railway line, Edithvale is unmanned and in the Metcard Zone 2 ticketing area.

Facilities

Edithvale railway station is located at the northern end of the Edithvale Road level crossing, between Nepean Highway and Station Street with station access from both.

The station consists of two side platforms: Platform 1 ((Flinders Street bound), 'UP') has a large brick building (identical to the station building at Aspendale station, 1.3 km north-west), while Platform 2 (Frankston-bound, 'DOWN') has a smaller brick building. A large Metcard ticket machine is located at the entrance to Platform 1, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins; a small coin-only machine is located at the entrance to Platform 2.

History
