Merinda Park is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Cranbourne North, on the Cranbourne railway line. Merinda Park is unmanned and is in Metcard Zone 2.

Facilities

Merinda Park is located at the northern end of the Thompsons Road level crossing, which provides station access.

The station consists of two platforms, in an island format (although only one track goes through the station - the other face is for future expansion), with a small steel shelter at the Cranbourne end of the station. A large Metcard machine is located at the entrance to the platforms, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins.

History

Merinda Park station opened on March 24, 1995, as part of the electrification of the Cranbourne line, a $27 million Federal Government funded project.cite book
