Warrington Bus Interchange

Warrington Bus Interchange

Warrington Interchange is a bus station in the town of Warrington, Cheshire in North West England. It opened in 2006 to replace a bus station built in 1979 alongside the Golden Square shopping centre. The new station is part of an extension and upgrade of the shopping centre, which is reached by escalator or lift. Warrington Central railway station is nearby. The station has 19 bus bays, state-of-the-art information screens and a taxi rank. There are no catering facilities, but there is a cafe in the adjacent BHS store. Escalators and lifts lead up to the shopping centre, and Warrington Central station can be reached by crossing a road and walking about 100m.

The bus station is served by local services within Warrington, regional services to Liverpool, Manchester, Wigan, St Helens, Widnes and Leigh and a limited number of National Express long distance services.

Bay assignment as of 01/2007
