Ringwood East is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Ringwood East, on the Lilydale railway line. Ringwood East station is unmanned and is in Metcard Zone 2.
Facilities
The station is located between Railway Avenue and Patterson Street, with station access from both.
The station consists of two platforms, in an island format, with a large pebblemix building at the Melbourne end of the station. A large Metcard machine is located at the entrance to the island platform, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins.
Recently, the enclosed waiting area has been upgraded with ramps for disabled passengers. Entrance to the waiting area is now at the Lilydale end of the building rather than the sides.
