Tom Bailey (US politician)

Thomas Aaron Bailey is a libertarian activist and was the Libertarian Party candidate for the United States Senate from North Carolina in the 2004 general elections. A contractor and Army veteran from Greensboro, North Carolina, Bailey faced Democrat Erskine Bowles and Republican Richard Burr in the 2004 Senate election, earning about 1% of the popular vote.

Bailey previously ran unsuccessfully for the North Carolina General Assembly as a Libertarian in 1996 and 1998, and for the United States House of Representatives in 2002. Bailey also founded the Guilford County, North Carolina, affiliate of the Libertarian Party and was a member of the executive committee of the Libertarian Party of North Carolina.
