Elias of Cortona

Elias of Cortona [Elia Coppi, Elias Cortonensis.] was the second Minister General of the Friars Minor (Franciscans), b., it is said, at Bevilia near Assisi, c. 1180; d. at Cortona, 22 April, 1253.

Attribution to him of some alchemical manuscripts [E.g. at [http://www.levity.com/alchemy/almss17.html] .] is often questioned.
