Some of the awards and nominations he has received for his work include a 2005University of Alberta Alumni Horizon Award, a 2004Gemini Award nomination for Best Ensemble Performance in a Comedy Program or Series (for "Corner Gas") and a 1995 First Americans in the Arts nomination, Best Supporting Actor (for "Tecumseh: The Last Warrior").Cardinal is also a
