The slender sawtail catshark, "Galeus gracilis", is a cat shark of the family Scyliorhinidae found only from northern Australia, at depths of between 290 and 4,730 m. Its length is up to 34 cm.

The slender sawtail catshark is a rare, little-known bottom-dwelling catshark found on the uppermost continental slopes.

Coloration is bold saddle markings on the body and precaudal tail, but without dark markings on the terminal and hypural caudal fin lobes.
