Philip W. Schiller

Philip W. Schiller (born 1960) is the senior vice president of worldwide product marketing at Apple Inc. [cite web|url=http://www.apple.com/pr/bios/schiller.html|title=Philip W. Schiller Biography|publisher=Apple Computer|date=July 2002|accessdate=2006-10-05] He is a prominent figure in Apple's public presentations. He reports to Apple CEO Steve Jobs and has been a member of the company's executive leadership team since Jobs's return to Apple in 1997.

Works and Experience

Schiller has eighteen years of experience in product marketing and management, including seventeen [cite web|url=http://www.apple.com/pr/bios/schiller.html|title=Philip W. Schiller Biography|publisher=Apple Computer|date=June 2007|accessdate=2007-09-28] years at Apple in various capacities. His previous experience also included positions at Macromedia (Vice President of Product Marketing), FirePower Systems, Inc. (Director of Product Marketing), Nolan, Norton & Company and Massachusetts General Hospital (Programmer and Systems Analyst).

At Apple, Schiller was instrumental in the formation and marketing of iMac, iBook, PowerBook G4, iPod, Mac OS X and subsequent products. He also shows up on Keynotes to present new products on the stage together with Steve Jobs.

Education

Schiller received a Bachelor's in Biology from Boston College in 1982. He began, but didn't complete, a Ph.D in English.
