¹ Bob Sapp broke his hand while fighting Ernesto Hoost and could not continue. Alternate Martin Holm could not fight therefore Ernesto Hoost was allowed to advance to the next round.

Trivia

* This would mark the fourth WGP win for Ernesto "Mr. Perfect" Hoost. As of 2006 no one else in K-1 has won as many WGPs.
* This would also mark the fifth WGP final appearance by Hoost. As of 2006 no one else has done this as well.
