St Merryn

St Merryn is a small village in the north of the county of Cornwall, England, UK. St. Merryn is approximately four miles south from the fishing port of Padstow and approximately eleven miles north-east of the popular coastal resort of Newquay.

St. Merryn has a motto "Seven bays for seven days", displayed on the road signs as you enter the village, referring to the many bays and beaches in the vicinity which are popular with visitors. These bays are: Trevone, Harlyn, Mother Ivy's Bay, Boobys Bay and the adjoining Constantine Bay, Treyarnon and Porthcothan. The vast majority of these bays are on the Trevose Head peninsula.

There are several campsites nearby, and there are also various hotels and short-let holiday homes.

In the summer, St. Merryn hosts a funfair and an auction at the village hall.
