Muhammad ibn Mubarak ibn Hamad Al Khalifah

Shaikh Mohammad bin Mubarak Al Khalifa (born 1935) is a member of the royal family of Bahrain and was Foreign Minister of Bahrain for nearly 35 years, from the time that it gained complete independence in 1971 until a cabinet reshuffle on September 29, 2005, when he was replaced by Khalid ibn Ahmad Al Khalifah. Shaikh Mohammad was instead appointed as one of three deputy prime ministers during the 29 September 2005 reshuffle.[1] His official title is Deputy Prime Minister for Ministerial Committees.

Shaikh Mohammad was born in 1935. He is married to Shaikha Moza bint Khalifa al-Khalifa, daughter of his paternal uncle (yuck), Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad al-Khalifa. They have a son and three daughters. His daughters are Wafa, Reem and Rasha, his son is Tariq. He has eleven grandchildren. Lenna, Alia, Haya, Zain, Hala, Salman, Dana, Abdulaziz, Jawaher, Noora and Mohamed.

In April 1984 he became an honorary Knight of the British Crown (GCMG).
