This list does not include material recorded by Audioslave band members with Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Rage Against the Machine, The Nightwatchman, or Puscifer.

Audioslave was formed in 2001 by vocalist Chris Cornell, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford, and drummer Brad Wilk. In 2002 the band released their debut album "Audioslave". The album brought the band to a new level of commercial success, and Audioslave found itself amidst sudden popularity and attention. In the United States Audioslave is their best-selling album. The band's next album was to be its international breakthrough. "Out of Exile", released in 2004, peaked at number one on the "Billboard" 200 and launched several successful singles, including "Be Yourself" and "Doesn't Remind Me". In 2006, the band released its third studio album, "Revelations"; while successful, the album could not emulate the precedent set by "Out of Exile". In 2007, the band broke up due to internal strife over its creative direction. Audioslave has sold four and a half million records in the US, and an estimated eight million records worldwide.
