Hoojah Branch Site is a site in
Rabun County, Georgia that was listed on theNational Register of Historical Places in1973 as an archaic site. It is believed to a mound similar to others across North Georgia (including the famousEtowah Indian Mounds ) built by a mound-building Native American culture known as theMississippian culture that flourished in the SoutheasternUnited States from approximately 800 to 1500 A.D. The is located about one mile east ofDillard, Georgia and is in theChattahoochee National Forest .External links
