St. James's Palace Stakes

__NOTOC__The St. James's Palace Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in the United Kingdom open to three-year-old thoroughbred colts. It is run over a distance of 1 mile (1,609 metres) at Ascot Racecourse, and it takes place annually during the Royal Ascot meeting in June.

It was first run in 1834 and is named after St. James's Palace, the Royal residence of the Tudor period. The race attained Group 1 status in 1988.
