Woodlawn is an elevated station in the Bronx on the IRT Jerome Avenue Line of the New York City Subway, served by the NYCS|4 train. It is the northern terminal of the line. There are two abandoned side platforms, which were used in the past to unload passengers while the center platform was used to load passengers in a style similar to Pelham Bay Park and other Bronx IRT terminals. There are old style signs on the center platform. The mezzanine is brick.

The station opened April 15, 1918. Woodlawn refers to the name of the neighborhood but is most often associated with Woodlawn Cemetery which is across the street from the station. The station is also referred to as Woodlawn Road, after the former name of nearby Bainbridge Avenue; however, the street name was changed decades ago [http://www.forgotten-ny.com/SUBWAYS/9thavel/9Ave.html] .
