Andrew Payton (born October 23, 1967 in Padiham, Lancashire) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker.

During his career he played for Hull City, Middlesbrough, Celtic, Barnsley, Huddersfield Town, home town club Burnley and Blackpool, before ending his career in non-league football with Stalybridge Celtic and then Colne.

He was a crowd favourite at Boothferry Park and remained Hull City's record sale for 15 years when he left in 1991 to join Middlesbrough for £750,000. He was also a big favourite at Turf Moor and is regarded as one of the best strikers to play for Burnley in recent years. Known as the 'Padiham Predator', Payton was bought to Burnley by then manager Chris Waddle in a swap deal with striker Paul Barnes.
