"(Blooper) Bunny" is an eight-minute "Looney Tunes" cartoon directed by Greg Ford and Terry Lennon, produced in fy|1991 [ [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101484/ IMDB article on "(Blooper) Bunny"] ] by Warner Bros. Animation. Featuring the voice talents of Jeff Bergman and Gordon Hunt [http://www.bcdb.com/cartoon_characters/36513-(blooper)_Bunny.html List of crew involved with the cartoon] ] the short is a parody of some of the specials produced for Bugs Bunny's 50th anniversary the previous year. The short never received its intended theatrical release and was shelved for several years [ [http://www.karmatoons.com/what.htm The shelving of the cartoon for years] ] . It was finally given a television premiere in 1997, after Cartoon Network discovered the film sitting unseen in the vaults. During the years since its rediscovery, the cartoon has garnered a huge cult following among animation fans because of its edgy humor, and is featured on the "" as of 2003.

The short opens with a special 51½ Anniversary Celebration of Bugs Bunny. Once that is finished, what happened earlier that day is shown, with a backstage look at Bugs, Daffy, Yosemite Sam, and Elmer Fudd (featuring 3D rendering of the scenery). They attempt a performance, which results in a series of animated "bloopers."

Featured "bloopers"

*Bugs Bunny begins to dance, but the music is slightly detuned and skips like a broken record. He then dryly looks at the camera and says his trademark phrase, "What's up, Doc?" followed by "Monotonous, isn't it?" Both the director and the producers laugh.
*Bugs stops the music midway through dancing, as a result of noticing a loose floorboard on the stage. He then suggests moving the action back and readjusting the camera.
*Bugs attempts to catch a cane in the midst of a performance, but consistently fumbles it. This occurs twice (the second take has the cane coming out before Bugs is ready to catch it).
*While waiting for the cane to be thrown, it becomes apparent that Daffy Duck has refused to throw it to Bugs, according to Daffy's contract, which says he isn't supposed to throw canes to rabbits, resulting in the director agreeing to have someone else throw it in Daffy's stead.
*Daffy enters the stage at the exact time that Bugs does, claiming that it is an improvement on the set. He bumps his head on the boom mic as he's walking off stage.
*While Bugs is waiting for Daffy to join him on the stage, a toilet can be heard flushing. As Daffy rushes onto the stage the director can be heard yelling "CUT."
*Elmer Fudd fires a real gun as opposed to a prop (claiming it would be a great big birthday surprise that he finally "blasted" Bugs after all these years). Bugs scolds him, resulting in Daffy engaging in an argument with Elmer, with it being more like a one sided argument with Elmer not saying a thing, that continues while Bugs shouts "CUT!" in the background. Daffy walks away and gets struck in the face by the loose board Bugs had avoided earlier. When Bugs asks if they can cut "now", Daffy says, "You smug son of a—," with the next take beginning before he can form the next word
*Daffy walks onto the stage with the board still smashed into his face. When he pulls it off, he yanks his beak off in the process.
*Everything plays out correctly until Yosemite Sam emerges from the cake frowning. The director instructs him to act cheerful for the next take, which has Sam going back into the cake mumbling "But I hate rabbits!"
*The spectacular performance is done perfectly, except for one thing, as Bugs puts it - there was supposed to be "five" rockets. A fifth rocket attached to Sam's back sends him flying about before crashing into the camera. Sam yells at Bugs, calling him a "Flop-eared son of a kangaroo." Bugs then suggests, "Maybe we can fix it in editing."
