2907 Nekrasov

2907 Nekrasov is an asteroid discovered by Nikolai Stepanovich Chernykh on October 3, 1975. Its provisional designation was 1975 TT2. Nekrasov has an absolute magnitude of 11.50 and is thus assumed to be 13km to 30km in diameter. [http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/glossary/h.html]

Nekrasov orbits in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter and is not a near-Earth asteroid. These reports have confused it with a smaller asteroid, (29075) 1950 DA, which has been proposed as likely to collide with the Earth on March 16, 2880.
