Caird Hall

Caird Hall

The Caird Hall is the principal concert auditorium in Dundee, Scotland. Built between 1914 and 1923 and named after its benefactor, the jute baron James Key Caird, the Caird Hall regularly hosts the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. The hall's pipe organ is one of the finest Romantic concert organs in the United Kingdom and was built in 1923 by Harrison & Harrison who also completed a restoration in 1992.

The Hall is used for graduation ceremonies from the University of Dundee and the University of Abertay Dundee, as well as other significant university events such as the former university's Rectorial Installation and Principal's welcome to first year students.

The venue has a capacity of 2150 fully seated but can be subdivided or converted to standing where required.
