Jalahalli

Jalahalli is a locality in north Bangalore in Karnataka, India. The area is further segregated into Gangamma Circle (named after a 350-year-old temple known as Gangammana Gudi), Jalahalli East, Jalahalli West, Jalahalli Village and Jalahalli Cross. Its neighbouring areas include Mathikere, Vidyaranyapura and Sanjaynagar. Pre-historic, stone-age articles such as tools and jewels have also been discovered in Jalahalli. Jalahalli is a predominantly Malayalam speaking area.

Gangamma Gudi circle is the junction between the roads connecting Jalahalli East, Jalahalli West, Jalahalli Village and Jalahalli Cross. Jalahalli East leads to MS Palya, Yelahanka. The Jalahalli East Airforce station is located between Gangamma Gudi circle and MS Palya. MS Palya is also connected to Vidyaranyapura.

Jalahalli West includes the Air Force Training Centre, Ayyappa Temple and surrounding areas, Shettihalli, etc. This place is connected to the NH4 (Tumkur highway) at Jalahalli Cross, and Jalahalli East at Gangamma circle.

Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), CMTI and other PSUs are located in Jalahalli. This area also houses various private industries, including Bharat Fritz Werner Ltd (BFW), the packaging unit of Tata Tea Ltd, and other small-scale industries.
