Cutlass may refer to:

Both Cutless and Cutlass are generic names for water lubricated shaft bearings where the bearing surface is made from rubber (nitrile rubber)and has lenghtwise grooves to aid cooling water to flow past the bearing, these can be contained in a shell of resin or metal. Cutless was registered as a trade name for this type of bearing in the 50's by one company, that company still trys to protect the use of this name despite the fact it is widely used and understood as a bearing type not a unique brand.
