California Community Foundation

Founded in 1915, the California Community Foundation is one of the leading philanthropic organizations in Los Angeles County, managing more than $1 billion in assets. Each year, it gives out more than $100 million in grants to invest in the future of its local communities. It is a 501(c)(3) public charity organization.

Antonia Hernández joined the California Community Foundation as President & CEO in February 2004. On October 30th, 2006 it was announced that the foundation had received a $200 million bequest from the estate of Joan Palevsky, a former wife of Max Palevsky.
