Gosport Queen

Gosport Queen

Gosport Queen is a vessel owned by the Gosport Ferry Company Ltd. The vessel was built by Thornycroft of Woolston, Hampshire.

History

The vessel was built in 1966 to replace two previous ferries. Because of the vessel's large size this was possible. It was delivered in Portsmouth Ferry Harbour Company (PHFC) colours but later repainted into its current Gosport Ferry livery. This vessel is the last of the three Queens still in service after the "Portsmouth Queen" and "Southsea Queen" were withdrawn.
