Jinlun Guoshi

Jinlun Guoshi

Jinlun Guoshi (third revision), Jinlun Fawang (elder revisions) or Deacon of the Golden Wheel is Teacher of the Nation to the Mongol Empire, a position that can be crudely said to be somewhat analogous to the position of cardinals in Europe who advised the royalties on spiritual matters. However, in the Jin Yong universe this Teacher of the Nation is anything but spiritual.

He is an arrogant, prideful man who seeks only for the betterment of his political position and reputation as the foremost pugilist.

He eventually dies in Mongke's final campaign against Xiangyang, slain by Yang Guo.
