Yitzhak Rabin was the prime minister of Israel.

Rabin is a Hebrew surname. It originates from the Hebrew word "rav" meaning Rabbi. (Note: Yitzhak Rabin's surname had a different origin: it had been changed from "Rubitzov" by his parents.)
