WZFG (1100 AM, "The Flag") is a 50,000 watt radio station serving the Fargo-Moorhead market, licensed to Dilworth, Minnesota. It's two-tower transmitter site is near Sabin, Minnesota.

History

WZFN was originally owned by Brantley Broadcast Associates based in Alabama. WZFN was sold to SMAHH Communications of Fargo in April, 2008. [http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/app_det.pl?Application_id=1228901]

In April 2008, long time host and station manager Scott Hennen left North Dakota based WDAY to join WZFN. Hennen persuaded fellow WDAY morning show host Paul Bougie and latterly Sean Hanity to also join him.

On Monday, May 19, 2008, SMAHH announced its call letters would change to WZFG, subject to FCC approval, and the station would be called "The Flag". It was announced that Rush Limbaugh will be carried in the new program schedule. Sean Hannity's national program will also be carried on the new station - Hennen has guest hosted Hannity's show on several occasions.

WZFG signed-on for full-time regular broadcasting on August 11, 2008. It became the sister station of KEGK. Both are located at the new SMAHH headquarters, at 64 Broadway in downtown Fargo, and both air the "House of Bouge" morning program weekdays.
