Hossein Marashi

Seyyed Hossein Marashi (سید حسین مرعشی; born 1958? in Rafsanjan) was the Iranian Vice President for Cultural Heritage and Tourism. Prior to that, Marashi represented Kerman in the Iranian parliament.

Marashi is cousin of Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani's wife and a vice secretary general of the Executives of Construction Party.You can find his official website at: www.marashi.ir in Persian.

He was the head of kerman province for near 9 years . the greatest work that he has done at that time , founding ‘ movlalmovahedin charity’ was. Big companies like Mahan air or Kerman Khodro belong to This charity.some people says this two companies belong to marashi but he is not agree.

As the head of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization of Iran, Marashi increased the budget of the organization. But at the same time, some of Marashi's opposers believe that the disappearance of some invaluable historical pieces and destruction of some historical building happened during his responsibility, and they claim that despite public pressure, he never took any action to stop the trend.
