Sheering is a village in Essex, located on the outskirts of Harlow. It, along with the neighbouring village of Lower Sheering, forms the Civil Parish of Sheering, part of the Epping Forest District.
Sheering Village has about 350 households. [http://www.sheering-pre-school.co.uk Sheering Village Pre-School] meets in the Village Hall and has strong links with [http://www.sheering.org.uk/localorgs/school.html Sheering C of E Primary School] a vibrant learning community.
The village boasts two pubs: [http://www.thecockinnsheering.co.uk The Cock Inn] and The Crown, a general store cum post office, a sandwich shop, a hairdresser, a butcher's shop.
[http://www.essexinfo.net/st_marys_sheering/ St Mary's Church] is a beautiful Norman building down Church Lane.
